Students of Erindale, Citizens of Mississauga, and visitors, welcome to our first official blog post regarding MiWay Transit @ Erindale Secondary School!
We are here to help answer questions regarding MiWay, obtain and engage from feedback, help those who are new to transit, and most importantly, to change the way that people view transit in their daily lives.
This Blog is being run by MiWay Student Ambassadors from Erindale Secondary, who would be glad to answer questions regarding busing and to improve the customer busing experience- MiWay is the way to go!
For this week's fun fact #1:
MiWay is the name of the Mississauga Public Transit Operating System, which runs buses circulating along routes of Mississauga, allowing citizens, travelers, and employers to commute on a day to day basis.
This Bus transportation system is best known for its widespread centralization and construction of grid networks.
Just recently, in 2016, the MiWay Grid 5 Network was introduced to allow for better wait times and well rounded efficiency to allow for time saving and locally targeted routes to allow for more stops at frequenter times.
The buses shown above are an example of the convenience and efficiency that MiWay offers in their services. Buses come in all different designs and constructions, and 2 categories who are customized for customer convenience. Express routes, who are meant to take passengers from across longer distances are in blue (displayed on teh left) whereas Local bus routes, taken into the local communities and streets, are orange.
Thank You for reading this post.
If you have any questions, or comments regarding your Mi Way experience, we would love to know in the comments, what your favorite thing about MiWay is.
